hi all,

am curious why u have choose e200 or e250 sedan avantgarde, any reason being ??

e200 is preferred in my home becos we do not think we can use the last rev of horse power from engine and the torque is probably more than enough on normal SG rd use. More gadget in the e250 interior but not a necessity too. So that are my reasons...

anyway looking forward to collect the car soon this mth.. from PI though :)

To each of his own, so why u choose Mercs over BMW etc. I think probably due to individual needs & wants thingy. Yrs is a sedan, coupe or Cabro? Care to share yr PI & purchase package?

believed $$ is one of the major influences !

2ndly is the availabillities of the E200 from PI and C&C.

Understand the E200 w212 is pretty on par in terms of equipment , power and options with the earlier AVG w211 E200K.

*although the RIMS can be better looking !

Pick the e200 avantgarde model would be doing the job nicely :) my opinion and this is what we did.

It's a sedan avantgarde we bought... but we book in Feb anticipating the price to rise due to the COE cut. So i guess the price then and now are with a gap differences.. this PI selling the e200 and e250 avantgarde with a price gap of 10k and the price always like to end with '5' and at Kaki Bukit... should be able to guess now ;)

  • 1 month later...

I bought the E200 Elegance model.

Coz the changes between elegance and avant garde seems to be so neligible that I donno what I am paying the extra for.

I'm really bad at differentiating between different numbers within the same class.

DRL, Full LED rear light, lower suspension, 17 rims, interior panel colour i think are the only one noticable by standing outside the car.

I think the most expensive difference is the bi-xenon lights, which will cost quite a lot to retrofit later (not too sure if it can be retrofitted at the moment).

I have chosen Avantgarde mainly for the Bi-xenon, better rims (cost quite a bit to change as well), Day Running Lights, Full LED rear light. If you intend to have all these features later on, it will cost more to do retrofitting.

Cheers,

Mark

same reason (i.e. xenon) for me choosing the avantgarde.. even can retrofit is illegal in SG now.. so factory option still the best route to follow :)

the DRL is juz nice for showing off.. :becky:

Ok, things that I might not be very particular about. Didn't even know that my e200 doesn't have Full LED rear light, lower suspension and 17" rims.. keke..

For the interior panel, I kinda like the elegance one.. :)

I am also not a speedster.. Already feel 184bhp is good enough for overtaking.

But of course, if you can appreciate the difference, better buy the one you liked :) Just like audiophile.. go for monster cables etc etc.. but I hear at delphi ..sounds like those mid-range panasonic and samsung home theatre system leh.. keke

I think i donno how to appreciate the finer things in life.. :P
