I wonder if it works for C180 CGI, and if it would void the warranty. Otherwise, yes :becky:

The C180 has a 1.6L Supercharged engine? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If it's Supercharged, I believe this Brabus device won't work but I think Carlsson will have a power upgrade kit for your car, consisting of higher speed supercharger pulley and air filter, soon. :becky:

The new C180 CGI is a 1.8 L Turbo-charged engine. Apparently it is the same engine as the C200 and C250 but with different ECU mapping.

So I was thinking maybe the Brabus kit can be used. But doing this will void the warranty with C&C?

Oh... then it should work on C180 too. The warranty thingy... well, I think definitely will void unless C&C brings in the product. :becky:

Any feedback/review from bros who have installed this?

I was thinking of it but price a little steep, was quoted $3.3k with installation!

Group buy anyone? :becky:

Yup I was quoted same price. I was worried about the warranty issues and was thinking that if I install, I'll ask them to take it out before I send in to C&C for servicing. I guess should be ok since its a piggy back ecu so should leave no 'trace'...

Either that or I'll install this after my first servicing. Current mileage still 1300 so I thought maybe let the car 'stabilise' first to ensure no issues before I install this.

So I'm definitely still keen in the next few months :bounce:

Cool, maybe you can give me feedback instead! :becky:

Looks like we are the only two "really" interested in this fantastic upgrade, so a GB is definitely out of the question. :tsk:

Hey guys, came across this piggy-back kind of ECU for C & E class.

Seems pretty good power improvement.

e.g E250 stock 204bhp 310Nm after Brabus Eco PowerXtra CGI, you get 230bhp 350Nm

Anybody interested?

not too bad an increase but hope the increase is being dynoed one..........

cool stuff

cheers

Yup, agree. I was also hoping to see some dyno charts. I recall that the Carlsson performance kit for the old kompressor engine comes with dyno charts.

I dunno at what rpm those new peak power and torque figures are achieved. I still like my current max torque at 1600 rpm, very useful :becky:

Something like the C200 CGI torque curve would be nice, higher max torque at say 1800 rpm.

I'm also waiting to see what the other tuners like Carlsson and Kleemann will come up with for the CGI to compare.

No rush :bounce:
