Finally bit the bullet and went to the kind folks at MBM to pickup this small lil gadget, I have to admit i've had this lil contraption on my E46 before but never know how much it helped till I had it installed at MBM. All I can say is that the car now feels more lively in comfort mode and sport mode is nearly insane hahaha. All in all a very worthwhile investment for the merc and many thanks to MBM to squeeze me in and answer all my questions.

To all the naysayers and disbelivers yea yea yea I know this does not increase HP and so on blah blah blah can step harder on the accelerator, however try it out for a day and see if you want to remove it from your car later hahhahaha !

Oh I took a pic but can't seem to up load no more i wonder whys that.

Hi! when i was driving my last E46, BVO installed on my car to test it. Did felt that the respond had increased. However, a friend of mine, who is also a mechanic told me that the gadget merely send signal to the ECU to increase the accerator just by stepping a little on the accerator. So, in the end, it may end up using more fuel. I really dunno, but it cost abt $400+ to install. Do let me know your feedback ya. I am driving a W203 now.

Cheerz!

Yup all this does is increase the responsivness of the throttle eliminating the initial lag you feel when you step on the throttle. As for using more fuel well if you drive at 90kms per hr before installing it and you cotinue to drive at 90 after you install it then there's no differance. Makes sense yea ? Obviously if you're gonna be driving faster means you're gonna be consuming more fuel so it all comes down to how fast you're driving at the end of the day. I've had no apprecaible increase in fuel consption so far tho individual results may vairy

Glad to see that U enjoy it!

I had it on my W203 - also installed it @ MBM - Took it out after a few mths.

When I had the FL W211 - I also got another one at MBM - again after a few mths - I took it out.

U can say I am a naysayer - but at least I installed & tried it out on 2 rides over a few mths each time.

The increase "throttle response" correspond to an increase in fuel due to the "driving style"

In my W203 without the SB on the highways - I can get as low as 6L/100km.

With the SB - No matter how hard I tried it stayed well above 6.5L/100km

I have a very light right foot! :becky:
