Hi all,

would like to get some feedback from forum members here on which brands of tyres are you all using after the factory given 'dunlop' tyres has worn out?

Was looking at Michelin or Yokohama.

Thanks.

High End:

-> Michellin PS2 (heard there is PS3 coming out ?)

-> Pirelli P-Zero

-> Continental CSC3

Mid End:

-> Loads of them from Bridgestone to Goodyear to Yoko and Toyo

Take your pick ... depending on size, should range from $150 onwards to as high as $400 per tire (16-18")

Thanks for the advise. Am looking for tyres that are more on comfort as my mum is the one driving most of the time..

In regards to the Goodyear, how much does it cost? The tyres size I'll be looking for is 225/55R16.

Thanks

For comfort tyres like Bro Raskie mentioned Michelin Premacy LC if they got your size.

For others on low profile tyres the new "Premium Comfort" tyres GT 90 from Bridgestone is very quiet.

I traded in my new ride stk oem Pirelli P7 perf tyres for the Bridgestone GT90.

I m on 245/40/18. No regrets!

Unker, u mean GR90 right ? How much per tire huh ?

Oh my! You are rite! It's Bridgestone turanza GR90.

It was launched beginning of this year.

I can't remember the actual $$$ trade in I paid.

I was asking for PP2 and it was slightly more than the GR 90

with the trade in prices.

I was told that PP2, I've to wait a few hrs and SE Ah Ming told me that

GR90 is lot quieter than the PP2.

SE said it's 1 of the most quietest "Premium Touring" tyres on the mkt.

Price wise is not that "cheap".

Unker old man prefer quiet tyres so I took the GR 90

The stk P7 grips very well but on some stretch of TPE & PIE,

really cannot tahan the noise from the P7s.

Very happy with the GR 90!

oh okie ... i think no matter wat tire you have, along that certain stretch will sound like rumbling train ... the best is the stretch when you nearing Malacca on the NSH !

me also suspect the GR90 is not on the low side ... but like you, me prefer the comfy ones ...

wah, long time no come here liao. hello unker! just swapped in a set of GR90s today.

Woah, the comfort and noise is amazing. Compared to Pzero Rosso is really two worlds, good rolling resistance, feels very comfortable on the cruising but still the noise. very very shiok. no regrets.

wanted to get eagle F1 Assymetrical, but decided on this because of low tyre noise.

just for the record, mine was 245/45/17, 255/piece.

Michellin PS2 (heard there is PS3 coming out ?) in the Dry, Unbeatable but wet? Cannot Make It for snaking around like there's no tomorrow if there's heavy downpour

Pirelli P-Zero Very Good in either wet or dry

Continental CSC3 Took it off after 1 wk & gave it away! Now Merc came with these fm Factory but too broke to give or change hence driving gingerly

Hahaha! Funng good to know U like the GR90 too!

That's why they call it Comfort Premium Tyres.

Bridged the gap - cos low profile "performance tyres"

have always been "noisy" & so call comfort tyres like the Premacy has

no low profile range.
