I thought we are suppose to point out what is the name of the good or bad workshop and not just saying all the things they did, then how then hell we know if we have gone to the same workshop u have gone to. Can you please state the workshop name if it is really so bad. I got a bad experience with C&C ubi, the guy told me my seat sensor is spoil, need to change the whole seat and it cost 2500 to 3K to do it, i sent to Khang auto they charge me 50 and the problem is solve. Must like this la, state the name of the work shop la, so scare for what?

Guys,

I have a friend who is about to purchase a used SLK.

I advised her to do a PPI. Any suggestions for which workshop she can go to for an honest assessment?

Many thanks

Z

Mate,

Is the STA PPI sufficient? I figured it would be better to have Merc specialist outside have a look?

Cheers,

Z

if it is a C&C car, can check for past service records ... I believe can also sent in for checks ... else you can call up some of the recommended w/s here and ask if they can do a general check for a fee ...

IT DEPEND WHAT YOU WANTED .....

STA should be good enough to check on acident , faulty parts and they conduct rd test too.

You can also get STA, VICOM,CnC and your own Work shop to check on it if you want to be 100% save.

There is one workshop at ang mo kio industrial park 2 which i think is ridiculous... They advise me to change things that is not necessary for me... just that they r car lovers and think the parts are not nice and need the change...

Not advising me that is ok if I wan or not n proceed to quote me with things not necessary and somemore man-slaughtered price~

me just went to Tan Lim motor at defu lane. My fren is working there for 8yrs & they have all the neccessary tools for merc & beemers. So i have done my serving there for just $168( voltronics engine oil, oil filter & all the neccessary checks). For promotion, they also throw in a $88( wash, clay, polishing package) + a $26( engine flush, oil treatment & gasoline treatment) for FREE! As for the resetting of servicing counter, actually u can DIY. i did it myself. So, at the end of the day, quite satisfied with their service.( servicing time from 10am to 4pm).

Cheerz!

Hi Bro, is the servicing promo with engine flush etc still on going?? Need to do mine very soon...
