Hi all just wanted to know if there's a way to get the paddle shifters retrofitted into the multifunction steering wheel from the W204 without the paddles? Or next best thing i suppose is where to just buy the back and mounting plate for the paddles ? Many thx in advance

hi,

yes, its possible to retrofit the peddle shift however you will not get the M mode that AMG w204 comes with.

Instead you get the normal D1~D4 mode which you can get when you shift left or right with your gear stick.

The item you've listed is just for the paddles. Whether can fit onto your 4 spoke steering or not I really don't know. But I noticed that in the pictures in the listing, there's error codes on the instrument panels.

I've checked on this many months ago but gave up eventually. You'll need to buy a complete steering with air bag (cos the air bag is different), something like this:

Installation is not straightforward, as the installer will need to do rewiring (was told it's gonna be massive rewiring) for you as your standard steering doesn't come with paddleshift. I was told Benzline can do this complete mod, and I think it cost $3-4K for the steering incl installation charges.

Once you're done with the mod, warranty for steering, air bag and possibly gear related issues should be void as well.

Good luck and post here if you decided to go for it!!!
