guys, good lobang to share. just went to this tyre shop at whitley road today (2 oct 09) and total cost is ONLY $20 for:

I. rotate 4 tyres

II. balance 2 front tyres

III. top up nitrogen gas for all 4 tyres

IV. FREE topup nitrogen gas (lifetime; just show them the receipt)

ALL for $20 (promo price). Others are charging S$70 at least for continental cars.

this shop just opened and the boss is driving a yellow ferarri; very humble guy; that's why the shop is known as PITSTOP. shop manager and mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. they even clean the inside of the rims to clear the brake dust.

thanks. this is a very timely post for me. i just had my ride in for the 2nd 10k service n i think i have paid the AD $30 for a rotation that never was. my left rear rim has curb rash and when the car returned from the service (and rotation) the curb rash was still on the left rim. i'm still waiting for the CSE to explain to me how this is possible. :banghead:

i will probably go check out pitstop next week.

the mechanic said we can now topup the nitrogen gas once every 3 months; FREE when we show them the receipt. cheers, allen
