Gas smell

Hi, has anyone encounter a petrol gas smell after the car was off and parked? Strong smell at rear Left wheel. E200K W211 model. I couldn't figure out what when wrong. Please advise. Thank you.

The plastic fuel tank is leaking.....this is a very common problem for W211.

Check by removing the rear seats. Need to replace it bro...

Oh, thanks for your advice. I will try to check on it.

Take out the back seat and unscrew both metal cover to check, quite easy

Either the float or filter side is cracked

Happens to mine, parts about $230, I bought from PAS auto

Then you can go to any workshop to replace it, about maybe $100+

Make sure you bought the correct side, best is to take a picture to show the spare part shop
