Hi friends,

Which is the best....Huper Optik Solar Film, V-Kool or 3M?

Regards,

Kai :D

I think it shld be a close fight bet V-kool and 3M. Basis: Highest IR rejection with minimal visible light reduction, price is secondary.

Based on specs, all about the same.

Price wise, HO and VK more expensive compared to 3M.

Cheers!

Hi friend,

all 3 products are of different materials...depending on what u r looking for...performance films?comfort?cosmestic purposes or just plain privacy.

I am looking for one that can really block UV penetration. However, I also hope that it will not affect the radio transmission and the scanning of the cash card.

Regards,

Kai :bboyspin:

Think most solar film has high UV protection. You should also look at the IR % rejection as it contributes to the heat rejection.

For v-kool, so far no problem except they will have to cut a small square hole near the IU.

Cheers!

yes, we will have a small opening on the IU unit reason bcoz the ERP scan fall within the reflective range.all films type can acheive high UV rejection with not much trouble, majority are looking for high IR (heat) rejection so as the cabin will be cooler even on hot weather.

Where did you do your V-kool?

Actually other than the brand of the film, the different type of film within the brand will also play a part in the effectiveness of the department you are looking for.

I have HO on my car except my panaromic roof. I requested a clear film so I can have a bright cabin. I got a dark V.Kool (I think its series 40) for my roof for UV/IR protection and I am very happy with the effect. The V. Kool impresses me for the IR rejection ... Don't really feel heat from the top even on a hot sunny afternoon.

Why did you choose to have HO for the car and VKool on the roof? :bboyspin:

The HO came with the car new ... But C&C says they don't cover the panaromic roof as it was not their standard feature. TL (angry) and than LL (no choice) and I had fork out money to get my film for the roof top. BTW I got my V.Kool done in our neighboring country. Quality same but almost half the price. Just make sure you go to a reputable shop they give you the warranty.

Not their Standard Feature, cos they do not want to pay for it.

I wanted 3M films , its also not their Standard Feature. but I told my SalesPerson , that if theres no 3M film theres no Purchase order from me.

So in order to close the deal , the saleperson has to pay for the 3M film (3M is more expensive than HuperOptik and V-kool)

Where did you do your V-kool? Was the job done well?
