Engine start button not working

Just got my ride 3 days ago,that is the E230 (2008 MODEL).The engine start button is not working.Is there a step that I could have missed out?

Try this, remove button and insert key into ignition switch. or when you press the button do the key blind red light? if not then do a reset.
