Changing wear and tear

Recommended Posts

My car is nearing 100 k km. wanted to only clean the throttle body... But ended up paying more than 1.2 k to change the following:

Engine mounting - $340

Gearbox mounting - $75

Control arm bush - $160

Lower arm - $290

Front linkage - $90

Water hose bypass - $75

Throttle body cleaning - $60

Labour - $150

Is the price reasonable?

By the way, the car is a 2009 c180 Kompressor

Decruzyong,

1) I guess you also change your absorbers at Technic at Sin Ming. (saw your other post). How's is the workmanship at Technic?

I change my Absorbers at Yishun yesterday, not very pleased with them....Upon collecting of car the w/s tell me there is still slight "knocking" sound over hump. Tell me to change Front Stabiliser Linkage as well. I am ok with that BUT WHY only inform me when i collect car? waste my time. Should have inform me or call me  and change on same day. Have to waste another day.

2) Anyway your above post mentioned Throttle body cleaning. What is that?

Mine also 2009 W204   C180

Hi clearvision bro,

I clean the throttle body as i supposed it to be dirty. It is the opening for the air intake. Usually i will clean every 40 k km for my previous cars.

I did not do my absorbers at technic as it was too ex. Did it near my house in yew tee. It was ok. They spent 6 hours doing it.

Also driving 2009 w204 c180 kompressor. Heh

Can meet up and talk
