Just got a quote the other day for renewal of insurance. Walau, premiums shot up by 20%! :death:

I have just gotten 4 quotes for my W203 Dec2006. I have full NCB:

Sun Alliance $1096 Excess for inexperienced driver is $3'500(named) /$4'000 (unnamed)

AXA $1133 Excess $400

Mayban Assurance $1025 Excess $600/$1'000

AIG was >$1100 Cant remember.

Since my daughter drives my car occasionally, Sun Alliance is out.

Looks like Mayban is the best so far so I shall have to say adieu to my regular AIG.

My w204 is having its 1st birthday this coming 3rd Jan 2009.

and AIG just send me a letter telling me that the insurance for the year 2009 has increased from $1800 to $2300.

and the Excess is also increase from $500 to $2000.

(thats with 30% NCB and Zero accident and claim in my 16yrs of driving, furthur more I'm not a young 20yr old boy, why do they charge me high insurance premium?)

Lucky I also received an email from a insurance company MSIG.

and so I ask for a quote for my W204

its around $1050 (for basic car)

and around $1300 (+ AMG bodykit and exhaust + Advance Agility Suspension)

and Excess is $500 can repair at any workshop I want.

I think I'm going to change both my car's insurance cos AIG is just too expensive

MSIG quote me $800++ for my hyundai trajet but I'm currently paying $1300++ to AIG
