Hi, has anyone transacted with shuang hup? My friend interested to get a pre owned e200 from them but dunno about the reputation of this dealer.

If pre owned I wont bother about reputation if its a over 3 years old car, most likely out of warranty. Buy the car, and go.

What if it's a lemon?

There's a lemon law....regardless of car's age. Dealer must sell a car that's free of defects for 6 months.

For Parallel Import new cars, Big boys in the market is PRIME and VINCAR.  Somehow ... personally I prefer PRIME for pricing reason.

I bought mine from them. Sharon is the SA, very friendly and knowledgable. Shuang Hup has been in this business for a long time and they told me they get their cars from CnC (those that didn't go to Republic).

 

Anyway, the car you link to need to test drive and also inspect it for wear-n-tear as the original owner was running it at 25K km per year, which is high. But it still has warranty till April 2015.

If not , Go to Shuang Hup , look for Hock Leng and tell him your are Randy friends .

 

From any dealers you are buying from , be it over 3 yr warranty period , you can still ask them to throw in a 6 or 12 month warranty by reputable workshop .

Got my E230 from Shuang Hup

Initially deal with another sales guy, very pushy and not willing to lower price much and cannot answer my question about some minor proper

Push until i buay tahan and feels irritated, told him I will consider and walk away

Go home do more search but still like the car that I test drive

Next day call again but another sales guy Roger who was there yesterday pick up the call asked me if I was the guy who came

I say yes,

He says, come test again together and the price I asked for, he say abit low and if up abit more he can decide to deal

So I when back and test drive again with another friend, Sharon the sales girl was there also, both of them was laughing that yesterday I sure will not buy as the other guy was so pushy.

All questions answered, those minor issues are not really issues as I was not really familiar with the car.

Asked me need to take loan, insurance, trade in car etcc

All up to me....no penalty clause at all andnot pushy

Paid deposit and ask him to send for inspection and come back with very good rating.

ON lor ! Come with 1 year warranty on engine and gear box written on contract.

Now happily enjoying my ride

Shuang Hup is case accredited dealer

Infact, the whole commonwealth car mart, they got the most number of Merc for sale

According to the sales guy, his boss got a lot of connection with C&C sales ppl

meaning those ppl who bought new merc, the C&C sales guy will push the trade in car to shuang hup
