ECO mode not working after installing car camera

Recommended Posts

Bro. Izzit becos u have power magic for the cam to operate 24hrs? I removed mine cos it take ages for the battery to charge to a satisfactory level before ECO mode is turned on. ECO mode requires a certain amount of battery power before it will turn on.

Bro Wesley, yes you are right. I turned off my power magic and eco mode is working. Guess setting car camera in parking mode will draw battery power below certain voltage and eco mode will not activate. Thanks.

Maybe I can just hijack this topic alittle... sorry for digging up this old thread... but I noticed that my battery voltage seems to hover around 12V when the engine is turned off? Was told by the dash cam installer that it's low... however, a check at my ws showed that the battery still had 65% life and its the original Varta battery from MB... Any bros out there facing the same issue? The low voltage will not allow me to have 24h cam feature since it cuts off at 12V to prevent the battery from going flat. Mine is a W212 '12

Thanks for any advice!

Bro be real, your car battery is a 12 V. So it will show 12V with no engine. As a norm at 65% life it should still be good. your camera setting cannot be set at 12V if you want to record 24hrs. You can always have another battery just to accommodate the 24 hr recording.

Hope this helps.

I was confused by that fella... he told me that normally the voltage hovers around 13V+? Anyways, I didn't bother with resetting it... Thanks for the clarification!
