Car shudders when moving off in low rev

Hi guy... Does anyone driving W212 has this issue of the ride shuddering at low rev??? Especially when moving out from the car park lot??? Been noticing this issue for some time already... will not feel anything once the turbo kicks in and also when it's on the road... But it's really irritating to feel it early in the morning when leaving the car park lot... please advice...

I have the same issue too. Car keeps jerking during cold start. It started happening when the car was about 2 years old. Issue seems to have subsided after I replaced my car battery. But once in a while, she'll still show her temper. As usual C&C did a diagnostics and says no faults.

We're not the only once with this issue.

But I also hear some noise from the rear.... Dunno if it's the suspension or something is giving way.....

wat if u did not turn on the air con when u start car? then still dun on air con even when u move out frm the cp lot? will still shuddering?

AhBui, I've noticed this ever since I got my car… usually experience this when I just start the car or engine not operating temperature, and driving speed is slow (ie. < 2K RPM), and I am switching between accelerator and brake (or vice versa).

 

Searched high and low for a reason, but can't find satisfactory answer. Foreign forums also have people complain about it. Most likely/reasonable cause I have read about is the transmission unit's software.

 

What I do to mitigate this issue:

 

1. Warm up the car for 2 mins before driving off.

2. After leaving the carpark, I always try to drive up to about 2.5K RPM within a short distance, so that it will trigger gear change upwards. Actually what you do doesn't matter, as long as gear change is experienced after cold start.

 

After the above, the driving will be smooth.

Hi Tigershark, I found some youtube vid on throttle body cleaning, so got to know what it is. For gasket, what can we do about it? And what is it?

Gasket? Ask your fav mech to check. If he confirm no good, replace.

Thanks for the info on Gasket and Throttle Body. You may be right. No harm checking on them since they are easier to check than transmission parts and software.

I spoke to C&C about this. He told me I need to warm up the car before moving off.

I always warm up to 5mins before driving off.....got this habit since my uni days in Melb.......
