discoloration of leather seat

Recommended Posts

Is discoloration of leather seat under warranty??. I have a ink stain on my leather seat and I used soap and water to rub on it in a attempt to remove it. To my horror, the ink stain is removed together with the leather colour. Maybe I rubbed too hard, but is leather colour suppose to come out?? Now what is left there is a discolored patch. Can I claim warranty to C&C for this???

New car can claim C&C but if bought used, the dealer had sprayed leather paint over it. So any strong solvent will remove the colour.

Bear in mind, leather is from cow and they don't look the same colour as your car seats. During the process, colour dye is added to give the black, grey , etc....
