Is there an alternative way to duplicate Mercedes Benz Car Key

hi guys, recently lost one of the two car keys of my w212. Spoken to CNC and got a quote from them, just trying my luck to see if there's any other alternative way to duplicate one ?

Hi bro... Just searched high and low to repair and replace my FOB remote recently.

You can probably check with them. The guy who did my reprogramming is really knowledgeable. He quoted me S$400 for a new FOB remote with programming. In the end, he managed to salvaged my old remote, so I paid lower. Still, my is an old car, thus the pricing may not be relevant to yours.

P/S: I'm not in any way related to them...

Just to share in case others need this info too..

 

Just called them and they say 2008 models and below cost $400 per key , but for 2008-2014 model they need more work and need to order so will cost around $1k++ and recommend to go back to C&C will be cheaper..

Perhaps you may want to try your luck to buy it online and bring over for programming.

Initially, I thought the programming was an easy task... After seeing what he did, I was counting myself lucky that I did not try to attempt it myself. I was too naive and ambitious...! Haha...

I suggest just bite the bullet and get from C n C. When you sell the car, just quietly add in the price of the remote to recover back the cost.
