Hi everyone,

 

Will be getting my R171 next week...its the facelifted model in stock condition.

 

I have set aside a little budget to invest in mods.

 

Given that the condition of the car is top notch and of very very low mileage, what would your best advice for me?

 

What are your thoughts on the following:

 

- VICOM full evaluation report? is this necessary or C&C servicing reports suffice?

 

- Would 17inch rims/tyres make any difference? cos I have a set of 17 Oz Racing matt black Utraleggera with AP Racing 4 pots undekitted from my previous ride.

Was told to stick with the stock 16inch rims/tyres? Is there a reason for the latter? For a change, I think I will not matt wrapped the R171 and thus the matt black rims would not match so planning to get a 17inch stock alloy and tyres instead.

 

- I need my music loud n bassy..is the stock unit adequate? For a good system when driving topless what would be the best bet?

SLK350?

Stock sound system was good enough for me when going Roofless so it all depends on your ICE expectation....of course cant compared to a Concert sound at the Indoor stadium...

 

what's your current ride? can the rims and BBK be fitted on the SLK?

 

if looks is the way to go then go for 19ins rims then lowered down either with lowering spring or coilover if Handling is also the way to go.....
