Not Lower Enough

Guys, i need some advice here

Currently i drive 2012 E250 CGI Avantgarde, and fitted with 19" F 8.5 R 10 on 245/35/19 & 275/30/19

Lowered with eibach pro-kit. For the front i got 1.5-2-finger gap & no problem with that. The problem is on rear height since if i measure with finger method, it had 2.5-3 finger gap from fender line to tyre

(sorry i don't know the exact value in inch/mm).

I consider to change my stock shock absorbers with bilstein B8-Sprint or change my springs to H&R since H&R stated in their website

that their spring will lowered approximately 1.4-inch on front & 1.3-inch on rear. Honestly, i prefer to change my shock absorbers therefore my springs are still useful but

what became my doubts is it will make more lower or not.

So i need some good advice from all bros, experts, mechanics here in this forum for what step i should take beside cut or press my springs.

Thank You

Wont that affect the ride comfort? Cos the car is quite heavy at almost 2 tonne....

correct me if im wrong, changing to shorter sport shocks wont affect your ride's height and will make your ride even firmer hence you get better performance but sacrifice comfort level. i would recommend height and dampening adjustable coilovers as you can adjust your ride's height to your preference and personally i feel that ride comfort is better than lowering spring.

spring with stock shocks will shorten your shocks lifespan and your drive can be quite bouncy. aftermarket coilovers would be better as springs and dampers are properly matched.

price wise, the b8 shocks would set you back around $1200? why not top up a little more for coilovers. H&R street coils cost around $2k.

last thing. do not cut or compress your spring. it will worsen your ride.

above are jus my opinion. hope this helps.

yes, i don't agree to press or cut the spring. sounds cheapy...hehe

how about changing the spring to H&R or KW?

i'm not thinking for coilover kits because i use this car for daily and the price is a lit bit expensive

I reckon your rear is higher cause u have to take into consideration, passengers? If u r gonna drop it so low, tyres might rub fender too.

U might wanna look into full coilovers. The KW Variant is good.

actually, i just want drop like the front height or the gap around 1-1.5 finger from the fender. i guess it may be no problem if any passengers sit on the back. Anyway thank you for your opinion, maybe i should consider coilovers

What currently do you use? stock springs?

Yup, i'm using stock springs. Front 245/30/20 and rear 265/35/20.

Previously, the back tyre will rub the wheel arch when fully loaded so I had to install the spring buffers at the rear spring so now they don't rub anymore!

Maybe can consider h&r sport springs. Previously used it on my w204. Lowers to 1.5fingers all round on 19inches

i think even when fully loaded it shouldn't rub the fender unless your wheel spec doesn't match with the car.

In my country, mostly use 20" and lowered. stock spring's gap make bad look
