DASHBOARD RATTLE

Recommended Posts

Hi forumers,

There is an irritating rattle coming from my W204 front dash whenever car goes over uneven surface.  Noise seems to come from speedometer area.  Any advise?  Is there something we can spray into that will buffer the rattle?

Mine W204 also the same problem. Tried the e class also rattle noise from back and front same same as c class $60k more but insulation much better. I think MB dash board has too many interconnected parts and garnish for it to look nice vs Jap one piece type less joint less gaps then less noise. Yes if it is unbearable go back C&C they are most willing to mitigate it but total eliminate rattle noise is not possible as every engineering has it limitation.

Thanks bro black25, I think this is the problem with conti cars, all of them.  I never had this problem with toyotas, nissan.  Wonder whether Lexus has this problem as it is as well equipped as a mercs.
