LTA inspection after exhaust installation

Hey all... Just needs get some feedback... After installing exhaust what is the time limit I have to send for inspection?? My windows are all tinted at the moment and I'm not sure if I should remove before going for the inspection?? Anyone been to exhaust inspection with tinted windows??

You have 2 weeks from the time of install. Apparently they don't check for other issues. The main thing they do us to certify the exhaust. However, there are LTA officers hanging around the center.

Maybe you can just roll down the windows when you go for inspection

If you go in for exhaust only, they'll only check exhaust. I went in with failed license plate, no problem.

The inspection will only be for the exhaust. Then again technically if the LTA officers resting at the side wanna cause you some trouble, nobody can predict that. I went in with aftermarket HID, and 3D license plate.

My observation is that LTA personnel there generally mind their own business. Probably because they won't know if you're there just for exhaust inspection or that you were already caught for your various violations thus there for inspection... BUT I'm not LTA so I cannot guarantee anything. Do at your own risk.

hey bro.... decided to remove the tints before inspection... I kenna aim by LTA officer that day riding past me... had to kinda zoom away to avoid the $70. haha...

hahaha okay all.... I was too lazy to wait for someone help me take out tint....

 

I went to STA at sing ming... and I have to say... super fast... 15 mins clear inspection... bunch of nice fellas over there. no queue at all. a lot of LTA officers over there but they didn't seem to bother about me.

 

When registering, look for malay fella called Md Faizal. Very nice fella and chit chat a lot.
