Speak to your service advisor first. Mine said no need, so I left it there but switched it off. They didn't hassle me about it but this is C&C JB.

Probably engine warranty void ba.... Y wan to give them a gd excuse to do that? Maybe if this is ur last servicing like 100k service or this is ur 2.5yrs... Ok la void sua lor... Lol new car owner... Dun try ur luck. Lol paladin take note....

I sent my car in with my MKB for my 45k servicing at Alexandra. SA did ask about it but never say anything much. No additional remarks made on the service slip. Sent my car in with TRD twice already, SA didn't mention it once. This is just my personal experience.

have you done any warranty claims so far? cos we will never know until the day something happens...what if they key it into their system but not in the service slip?

Touch wood! Nothing to claim so far. They did note that I modified the exhaust, installed HIDs, and changed BBK on the service slip. So in future I can't claim for those items. Well, as my modding senior once thought me, scared don't mod, mod don't scared.

I'm pretty sure those who've mod their cars are smart, if not they won't be modding in the first place. At the end of the day, it's the guts of how far you want to push your mod. Each modder is different from the next.

Back to the topic, on a more serious note. You can plan for servicing, remove the piggyback, remove the open pod air intake, remove the TRD, remove the HID conversion, remove aftermarket exhaust, remove any potential thing that'll void your warranty. But what happens when your car brakes down on the road, or somebody bumps into you (touch wood again) and you gotta tow if back to C&C. What happens then? If you're worried, you gotta plan for stuff like that. Do you ask them to tow the car to your tuner to set the car back to default? What about other potential mods that'll void your warranty, do you send you car to different workshops first before towing back to C&C? In the first place when you start modding, you gotta prepare yourself that the mod will potentially void the warranty, not of the whole car but for the particular component. That's just my humble opinion from what I've learnt so far.

OT...was trying to overtake someone earlier, step on the gas and rpm went up to 5k with a roar but car didnt react. rev came down after 2s and everything's fine again...my guess is it didnt engage any gear at that moment...any thots?

This poor chap went for his service at C&C & had a surprise from the SA when he collected his car. SA whipped out his camera to show him pics of his piggyback & smilingly announced that his car warranty is voided with immediate effect. Insataller of his piggyback denied everything of course.

Yup. It's case by case. Depends on the relation you have with your SA also. Was too busy and lazy to remove mine.

aiya...as long as you mod, just be prepared that your warranty may be voided... when it happens, then too bad lor.
