Care to share on info with regard to E250(w212) vs 520 (F10)

I'm helping my cousin to do abit of research on either of the 2 car mention above. Which car is much more cost efficient to maintain for servicing, parts and reliability? Thx

if new car, I am under the impression that PML maintenance is cheaper than C&C.

 

if pre-owned and service is outside, w212 maybe cheaper and more reliable in the long run.

It not the cost of servicing that will kill U in PML.... It's the agony of booking a date to service your ride..... U cannot book online..... You have to get them to call U... Or U call them.... But their service centre line always busy... Dunno why.......

Should compare E200 to F10 520i

E250 should go with 528i

Servicing wise PML is cheaper.

As for what I know, BMW give lots of problems

we collected BMW 7series in Nov 2011 on march 2012 we encounter violent vibration sound coming from rear seat, send car back 6 time to settle the issue and all 6 times they claim its done not till the 6th time its really finally resolved . Issue was loose screw in 3rd brake light.

 

such a minor issue took 3mths and 6 inspection to settle it.

 

can i claim loss of use? hmmmm

 

 

performance I think BMW is better but comfort wise Merc still win....I wont get another BMW but Merc all the way.

F10 is known for gearbox problem..... And not forgetting the engine oil leakage problem too... Dunno if they had solved them.... But be prepared to face stuck-up SA from PML..... Unless you know PPL from inside.... My pal sold his F10 because he faced all of the above problems.... Think he went to buy Porky Panamera....
