could you give which model of W212 u got? cos it may vary.... u got a E63? or E200? from what I assume u most likely got a E63?

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

My experience tells me it will kick in at 1500-2000 when moving off from stationary... anything else try 4000rpm... all hell will break loose..... BM say one....

Floor the pedal and the E is amazing... Imho p, its a feat for this 1.8l engine to achieve 7.x secs in the century sprint; considering the size of the car...like!

There seems to be another "kick" after 4000rpm, besides the surge at 2000rpm. For a 1.8l car, it is one the strongest pull. With mods, this car can achieve 400NM and century sprint of 6.x secs.

Any idea which Mod would be most efficient in terms of gains?  Thanks in advance. James

Er, how I wish but not so easy. Standard piggy back will give around 210 bhp and 310 NM. Don't see how to push to 400 NM without serious mods. If you know, please tell me. :D

I think you are referring to E200 right? That's a respectable 26hp and 40nm increase only with piggy back. I m referring to E250, possible to achieve 235bhp and 400nm (in over boost setting) thereabouts, with piggyback, upgrade intercooler, high flow air filter and twin exhaust.

Bro, the low end torque for the E Klasse W212 is quite good. I reckon the throttle response is not good enough and I am sure teh rest feel that way. I have yet to touch my engine. That will be my next stage of modification. Perhaps the other E owners can share what they have done.
