reverse sensor

Hello all,

I have a question on reverse sensor that i hope someone can help. When i got to my destination today, i noticed that when R gear was engaged, the reverse sensor did not light up, even though it was getting really close to the wall. This sensor is the system of lights in the ceiling with a beep when its really really close.

I put the car into D, moved forward, tried again, still no sensor. One more time, i put into D, moved forward, and this time, the sensor lit up when R gear was engaged. What are the conditions for the sensor to be engaged?

I tried looking through the manual but can't find the answer.

Thank you in advance.

Send back to dealer , if front sensor can be turn off, rear one usually can't . unless yours is parktronic

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.
