Light Sensor

Cal

Recommended Posts

Hi Seniors, anyone here encounter sensitive headlight sensor?

My ride headlight will only turn off after about 2mins after coming out from covered carpark. Today even worse, headlight turn on itself around 5pm when the sky is still bright. Notice the other mercs headlights on the road still have their lights off. Any ways to adjust the light sensor? Thanks.

I suspect it is the glass tinting on our cars that make the light sensor on the dashboard to see darker sky than it actually is hence turning on the lights while it is still relatively bright outside.

Can C&C adjust the sensitivity of the sensor?

I had check with CnC (Ubi) before on the possibility to adjust the sensitivity of the headlight from turning on too frequent when the sky is not even dark, the answer is negative, no way to do that, saying it is dependent on the ...what transcient atmospheric pressure from the sun....somthing like that! <_<

i also think it is the tint.. i never had issue with my phone's gps in my previous car.

now it takes more time for the satellite to lock-on.

back to the lights... a crude way is to get the tint installer a hole cut at the sensor location..

otherwise, just let it be.. cos its also for safety.. (think saf vehicle).

I am fine with the early turn on at dusk and late turn off at dawn.

What’s bothering right now is I remember I saw another W204 (can’t remember pre-FL or FL) during one of these twilight periods and its head lights were off while mine were on!

I strongly believe that the other W204 light sensor is malfunction.
