my car is actually e200ml.

was driving on C mode all the time.

felt car power was lacking, probably accelerated more as a result,

and fuel consumption quite high.

did you get 11km/l on C or S mode?

w211, e200k i assume?

when i tried really hard, i got 11km/l

easily 10km/l

usual case 8.5km/l (60 highway/40 city)

For W211 E200ML (YOM 2006), my experienece : (smooth driving, without "flooring accelerator" at traffic junction)

- "C" mode :

CBD City driving - 10 to 12 L/100km,

City (cross Singapore on expressway) driving - 7.8 to 9 L/100km,

Cruising <140km/hr at NSHW - 8 to 8.5 L/100km, (i did that yesterday 22 Apr 12)

Cruising at >150km/hr at NSHW - 8.5 to 9.2 L/100km.

- From my occasional "S" mode experienece, fuel consumption is higher, but I don't have data yet.

Actually,

You can try pump a full tank, drive from Changi Airport ECP to AYE Tuas (without Air-Con) definately can see such results.

OT abit... your other car is an FD3S ? ;)

i think, even if I did that, AND over inflate my tyres until maximum limits, AND remove all the seats in my car, I will still not achieve 3.8l/100km. Maybe unless someone towing my car...

After monitoring for almost 4 months, my FC is about 9km/l. The driving pattern is:

1. 90% highway on cruise mode in the morning from Changi to Dover (home to son's school)

2. 90% highway from Dover to Tiong Bahru (for breakfast)

3. 100% urban plus some jams from Tiong Bahru to Shenton (TB to wife's office)

4. 100% urban plus some jams from Shenton to Redhill (to own office)

5. 100% uban plus massive jams from Redhill to Shenton (pick wife)

6. 90% highway plus massive jams from Shenton to Changi (go home)

Weekend driving patterns varies and usually the FC consumption is about 8-9 km/l.

I am driving a E230 Avantgarde and rarely put the drive on "S". For such a heavy car, i opined that the FC is not that bad.
