Common Issues for W204

I am looking for a old 2009 range C180 car, wondering if there is any big issue with this car in 2009?

Comparing IS250 and C180 now, any advise on this? May want to renew COE if ride is good.

Drove my W204 for 8 years without major issue except  Air con & Radio control switches  paint peeling off , probably due to our hot & humid  environment

I drive a W204 C180 Year 2010 model. It is around 8 years old. I am not the first owner. Cannot attest to what happened to the car before that. My mileage is only 96,000.

Car is good but numerous breakdown experience at 8 year old:

- Replaced Control Arm (SGD 480)

- Replaced ESP Unit (SGD 3,000) 

- Replaced battery (cant remember how much)

Other issues:

- Peeling pain on knobs

Good to know not much of big issues except the ESP. Just worried about the thousands of dollars repair

I think depend on mileage also lah. haha

Still on my W204 2014 model. 4 years so far no major problem except occasional stale aircon smell. But my mileage is low ard 50k.
