Power steering malfunction

Bought a new W205 for 1 month encounter power steering malfunction, C&C took 3 weeks to get it fixed. Disappointed with the quality & service, can I claim loss of usage?

Didn't you get a courtesy car?

They provided courtesy car however inconvenience caused for temporary transfer of vehicle particular and the repair took too long. new car only 1 month old

Well, since a courtesy car was loaned to you, C&C has fulfilled its obligation on its part. Think you have no case, maybe your SE can do something.

Without any symptom, steering wheel just locked up and had to towed away, only shown power steering malfunction message. It would be disaster if steering wheel locked on expressway, no confident in Mercedes car

@RT6280 Thx again for sharing. currently in the Q awaiting collection of my W205. This info is definitely not encouraging. Let's see. Cheers.

I suspect is the ESL motor burned out which is very uncommon. I did not work on this car nor I seen the car either from SDS or visual.But I did work on a W204 which had this issue.

It also could be many other factors such as bad power steering pump, leaky reservoir, bad hose or bad belt. I cannot confirm this is the case

I don't think C&C have them in stock thus need to indent. Thus it takes 3 weeks. All cars are bound to failure and new car are more prone to defects due to many factors.

1. The way how it is transported to the factory floor

2. Every item are not inspected visually unlike at the workshop the mechanic will inspect the item and make sure its the correct fit and no damage

3. Damage while in shipment

4. All other factors
