Hi all! Great to be here and am looking forward to attending MUs to know more about the brand, rides, as well as to make more like-minded friends.

Have owned a Jap, German and Korean car each before (Lancer, A4, Koup in the same order) and after realising what I really want in a car, I have decided to choose Mercedes-Benz.

However, may I ask you gurus for your opinion on the W204 coupe (have yet to buy)?

I have no questions about the prestige, oomph factor, joy and pride that a MB can bring, but may I know:

1. In terms of sound insulation, how does it fare as compared to a typical Lexus?

2. What kind of performance potential can I achieve with a tuning for a 1.8? 180bhp? 200bhp? Beyond? 

3. How is its reliability for an everyday driver? Any parts or problems that the W204 is particularly susceptible to? I know first hand some cars are known to have engine oil consumption problems, some with gearboxes, some with pumps, some with leaks. 

4. I know this one contradicts Q1, but which LTA-approved exhaust gives the best (bassy, heavy, loud) sound?
