2011 E200 Cabriolet Soft Top issue

Hello guys and girls,

I bought my pre-owned E200 cabriolet for about 4 months now. Just the last weekend, I couldn't open my soft-top and went to a reputable garage in Sin Ming to have it checked. I was informed that (2) hydraulic cylinders were leaking oil and that's probably the reason. My soft top also seems less insecure since the issue and this insecurity can only be confirmed if resolved after replacing the (2) hydraulic cylinders. It's gonna set be back approx. 2.5k. Has anyone here faced a similar issue before? Thanks for your advise / feedback.

Did the roof not open after battery failure?  My battery died and roof could not open fully.  It just unlatched from the wind screen and stopped.  I could close it back but it won't open after I tried again and again.  I brought to workshop and had them diagnose the problem.  Copied the fault code and googled it.  Found a fix online on a forum.   Just detach battery and leave car overnight to reset. Problem solved.

Many cases is due to Hydraulic absorbers that is causing your convertible unable to open up, this can be confirm by troubleshooting and inspecting the supports required for the opening of convertible. Costing shouldn't be too high if this is the case.
