The new 9G uses a new material, some sort of coating on the rubber trim that fray over time. I am sure I will not be the only one experiencing this. More complaints to come. I looked at the rest of the doors and already showing signs of the fraying. SE is changing the trim for me on my next servicing but until they change to a more durable material, this is not a permanent solution.
