For those with the newer transponder - This is a 2 lithium coin cells CR2025

This Lithium CR 2025 coin cells are available at local supermarket counters especially NTUC @ abt $2+ per cell.

If your current cells in your transponder is below 3V DC, it's time to change the cells.

A fresh cell should have a voltage of abt 3.2V DC

Do not put the cell on a metal surface in case U might short circuit the cell.

Change transponder cells on a non-metal surface eg a wooden table top, a glass top, etc.,

Here's a video to show you how to change the battery on your MB Transponder.

You will need to replace the 2 Lithium Coin batteries - CR2025 inside the transponder.

You can buy these CR2025 Lithium Coin batteries at any NTUC or other Supermart!

My rep suggests using Maxell CR 2025 batteries.

You can buy them off ebay - not available locally..

You can buy Lithium Coin CR2025 at your local NTUC outlet!

I am pretty sure you can get them too at GIANT outlets too.

$1 shop sells them too but not too sure of their expiry dates

Cheers

Not the maxell ones which he recommends ..

Any particular reason for Maxell?

I recommend you Energizer or Panasonic :)

Why not Panasonic, Renata, Sony, Engergizer, Varta, GP?

I've being in the battery industries for >28 years!

One of the more popular brand is Panasonic as they have a very large plant in Jakarta.

My previous company stopped making Li Coin and we got Panasonic to OEM for us.

All primary battery has a self life and if things are equal, the fresher off the shelf is the best.
