S300L ABS error message

Hi S300 bro/sis, Good day !

I just did my regular pump-up tyre air pressure. Not long after drove off, the dashboard 'ABS' symbol lighted RED and error messages - 'ABS and ESP Inoperative. Run flat indicator inoperative'.  I lost steering power . I start/stop but error message continue to exist. Fortunately, I drove slowly home (20-30kph).

Would like to seek advice/comment whether this could be a DIY remediation or have to send to workshop (any recommendation)

Enclosed are 2 photos of the message

Thank you and looking forward to your assistance

Thanks...went to CNC and confirmed ABS hydraulic pump cum module faulty. Quote is very high. Plan to seek cheaper solution from other workshop as 10 mths to scrap. I welcome any cheap solution/suggestion

Currently can temporary drive, keep below 90kmh and avoid hard braking....major inconvenience is heavy steering during cornering.

Have a great day

Hi dchum, thanks for your feedback. I have found a WS that provides pre-owned ABS /ESP hydraulic pump+module+reprogramming on a no-cure-no-pay basis. The price is down to earth as compared to CNC (through a new unit).  I will provide commentary once had it installed/tested next 1-2 day

Cheers...have a successful day !

Hi All, I am happy to report that today I have successfully replaced the faulty ABS pump+module with a pre-owned unit from a WS in kaki bukit. The young, honest and friendly mechanic did an excellent job in the complex programming for a total 3-figure amount, with 1 month warranty return on the item. It's only 25% of CNC quoted price, albeit a pre-owned unit...hope it could survive 10 months.

Send me a separate email ([email protected]) if you want to know the company and the mechanic. They  specialises in Merc and BMW pre-owned parts replacement

Cheers and have a great day

Had this prob on every alternate Monday..... Thought it was due to weak battery so I replaced the trunk battery and I haven't seen the signs since. In the interim, u can try resetting the indicators by turning steering wheel full left then full right and restart engine. The indicators will go off if u are lucky, but may reappear again if the sensors require replacement. Good luck mate.

Hi MasterGMT, Good day. Thanks for your comment

I already fixed the ABS error problem several weeks ago. This workshop in Kaki bukit changed out the ABS hydraulic/module with a pre-owned unit and provides a 30 days warranty. labour/parts cost than 4 figures.

Cheers...mike
