Claim to 3rd party insurance

Has anyone any ever make a 3rd party insurance claim at C&C accident reporting centre? May I know how long it takes? Its a small accident, a car reverse into mine leaving scratches and slight dent. Have my in car video recording of the incident. But still no news after 2 weeks.

What actually is the procedure? Called up my insurer AIG said it is a 3rd party claim so C&C should be doing it with the 3rd party insurance. But why C&C takes a copy of my insurance certificate if my insurer is not involved and has no record? C&C said no response from the 3rd party insurance yet. Can I call the 3rd party insurance directly to check or expedite? Will it be faster?

If you are claiming 3rd party. Easier to do it outside and faster. As long as it's 3rd party claim. You don't have to worry. They will replace every parts. Twice I did 3rd party claim.  I just let the workshop take care of everything. Remember to ask for glass coating. Mine is a C180 but I asked for a S 350 for a week.
