W205 C180 back light keeps blinking after the car is switched off and locked

This morning the car back light keeps blinking even though the car is locked. Does anybody encounter before? It is a 2 year old car. I have tried to unlock and lock the car and it did not help. i have to start the engine again, switched off, lock the car again. The blinking back light then stopped. Thanks.
