Brake dust

Have noticed that there is a lot of brake dust on my rims despite washing the car/rims twice a week. there is so much dust that the rims are not shiny.

have also noticed that other w205s have the same problem.

does anyone know if this is normal or there is something wrong.

Seems like every merc of every model running original brake pads since the early 2000s have black front rims. It's just the way these brake pad compounds are...

Some years ago....I was amongst the 1st to try this ceramic brake pads called ATE. It works just as well as original & literally zero brake dust. Many tried them after me & swore by it. Go check it out at Goldenlink....doesn't cost much.

Ceramic Brake pads still give dust. On the front wheels, it last about a week and turns dirty. On the back, it lasted much longer.

My ceramic brake pads form Goldenlink gives some screeching sound when braking. Quite irritating...

Realistically I don't think there're brake pads out there that totally doesn't expend dust. I mean the material has to be deposited somewhere right? Haha... Maybe there are compounds out there that when expended doesn't stick on the rims?

@jskywalker Ceramic brake pads are known for screeching sounds. I suppose you've got to bear with it since you chose ceramic.
