A170

Recommended Posts

I've driven my A170 for the past 4 months. Recently, these Tok Tok sound came when driving. I search the forum and went to Kompressor Automotive Workshop at kaki bukit. the machanic there told me this is usual sound and always happen. is it true and what is the cause of it?

bro just to check did u pay for your checks at Kompressor Automotive Workshop? I just visited them after seeing some recommendation in the forum and ended up they charge me for checking the car and didn't give me any sound advice. In addition the repair cost he quoted is much more expensive than other workshops.  In the end I spend $60 and did nothing.... problem is still there and there's not concrete solution to it as he mentioned what he suspect may not totally eradicate the problem. So I guess it could be one of those tricks those old school workshops like to use. Anyone face the same before?

No, they didn't charge me for checking and scanning when i visited them. my problem then were the tok tok sound and some jerking during driving, but since Kompressor Automotive said is normal for merc so i seek second advice at BCC(Sin Ming) and Elvis the service adviser is good, checked and fixed the sound by changing a broken clip($2) that rattling and diagnosed that my gear box valves body faulty that caused the jerking. Btw, BCC also didn't charge for diagnose/checking.
