Oil change after 1k run-in

Hi,

I am using a c200 and just did an engine oil change after 1k run-in.

Now I thinking of changing the transmission and differential oil too.

Is it a good idea and necessary or over protective?

If changing is there need to change other stuff like filter?

Think changing others beside EO for 1st K a bit overkill.

don't waste the money. I changed my engine oil out at 2k and it was still clean.

MBM Wheelpower fixed it at 1000K for the first servicing where the car came with the first servicing set at 25,000KM (UK spec). I dragged until 1,700 KM for the "oil change". The oil vacuum out is really clean. Even 2,000 KM is over-kill. My friend from Malaysia changed his own at 5,000 km before his first C&C Malaysia servicing at 12,000 KM. I think 5,000 KM is more reasonable where about 6-7 litres of oil is in the engine.

Transmission oil need not be changed at 1k km For differential oil....unless your car has LSD like a C63s it's a must to change. I highly doubt the C200 has LSD.....lol!

Change often eo is good for u,besides feeling good,it's a good ritual .

dun believe what u hear,money down the drain,blah blah

abt ATF u dun have to change so early ,think abt 60k for w205 .

but u can change Say 50ish.

i always practise a habit,1 flush & 2 replace.

only special gearbox w/shop got dis flushing facilities.

anwae mb dun recommend flushing  but there again in the early days they says no need to change ATF also,seal for life transmission fluid!

u HAVE to use Mercedes Benz atf oil ,ah Kow promo oil for the weekend juzz Wun do.yr 7g tronic got 2 types of mb oil,blue or red,important u used the correct one,dun says shop should noe,u MUST know.

normally when changing eo,will try to change all kinds of fluid as well, coolant ,rear shaft oil(rwd)again the feel good factor ,perhaps some peace of mind.

but there again dun change doesen't mean 

road side is littered with broken engine.
