Hi all. Just got my first continental ride one month ago.

Many thanks to JTang who has fuelled my desire to touch it up slightly.

Here it is when I first collected it.

I have always loved the clean look without any badges. And I always loved the matt look too.

First thing I did was to use black film to darken out the silver door trims. You can still see the AMG lighted up. I also replaced the AMG Floor Mats with 3M ones.

I then bought door pins from Ebay.

Got them powdercoated to black so that it can be more subtle.

My daughter has been kicking against the back of my seat. I didn't bother much but got worried that pebbles / small stones caught on her shoes would end up scratching the Recaros. So I had to stickered up the back of my front seat for protection.

Studied the numerous reviews and decided on Thinkware F750 for the in dash camera. It looks really cool and robust.

Was a little frustrated that somehow my CLA does not come with the sunglass holder. So together with JTang, we ordered a pair!

Read on the CLA forums about the lack of splash guard for the fronts. So managed to find a decent pair online.

From the front installed.

From the back installed. You can hardly see them.

As mentioned in the earlier thread, JTang and myself ordered a set of hood struts since Mercedes was too cheap to give them to us in the first place.

Got the brackets painted the same body colour so that it looks stock.

Changed the exterior lightings to white so that it matches the headlights led.

I bought a matching Merc umbrella - but I doubt I will ever dare to use it.

It fits just nicely here ...

I did not order Online Command as the option here in Singapore is way over-priced. Furthermore, I previously had OEM GPS in my previous ride and I had to often update the maps. So I went the mirroring route with Apply TV installed.

I replaced my key fob with the blank back piece. Then ordered a cover to hide the chrome which I hate.

I never liked the original Cirrus White from Mercedes. Felt it look a tad yellow. I asked if Mercedes could paint it for me whilst building it, but there wasn't any option for me. So I had it re-sprayed Matte White.

Also sprayed the front grill black where the Edition 1 had the red trims. This made the grill look a tad deeper / aggressive?

And yes, I painted the Front Mercedes Logo matching white too. I prefer it over the stock chrome. Painting it black will make the logo disappear into the grill. Think I will leave it for now till I have a better option.

In order to maintain the Matte Theme, I opted to take out my original pieces to send them for real carbon overlay, and then have them finished in Matte.

I changed my Plate Casing to a blank one. Then got as white letterings as possible for the plate. Removed all badges possible.

Here's how she looks for the moment.

Splash guards were around slightly over SGD $100 shipped from USA. They are not real carbon but I found they had the nicest templates and overall shape.

C&C were selling the Merc umbrella for like SGD $150? I got it from GoldenLink for like SGD $100.

The illuminated star doesn't really go in line with my subtle theme lei.

May I ask which workshop sprayed matte white for you and the cost?

Markcwq - I got them sprayed at S M Spray. Had to leave my car there for like 14 over days. They charged 4Kish, depending on how customised you wanna do? For example door handles different colours, grill different colours, painting the chrome edges of the rims, all these were extra charges. It's considered a different colour change, plus they spray engine and inside the doors and all. If it's just exterior, they charge around 2K? It just happened I had two overseas trip and made use of the time away to re-spray.

3008 - I installed them myself. There are many videos on how to install them. I tried to use a cloth to not damage my original plastic ones, but because they were so tightly screwed in, it was very challenging. Once I decided to hack it and use more strength, I got them out less than a minute each pin. I then hand tightened the new ones as I didn't wanna scratch them. Just simple pliers, anti clockwise to unscrew, then finger strength to tighten clockwise.

Superdry - I got it from EBay. USD 27. http://www.ebay.com/itm/282033384792?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=580982564328&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yorkshireman - No. I drove a Honda Crossroad. I was quite active on the SHC Crossroad Forums for a while though.

LYH - Robson Design did my carbon overlays.
