Do have a look at the manual, either the booklet or better yet, the app. It will tell you when to do servicing, and also give lots of info on the various cool functions of your A Class. For example, if you press the open button on your FOB and hold onto the button, the windows will wind down..

BTW, some of the info I posted here on collection and accessories might be useful to you too:

Just done 60k major servicing at C&C. Amount to about $2k. Service B+ package.

Include things like:

engine oil (shell)

coolant

spark plugs

brake fluid

ATF/DCT Transmission Oil

air filter, aircon filter etc

actually very expensive if you ask me.

They gave the service credits so definitely will charge high to use up all credits.

Perhaps stock up some of the consumable parts from main stockists will help lower cost of maintenance.

Even a set of wipers is significantly cheaper. ;)

Mind to share the full list of items changed?

I don't mind to check out price and bulk purchase for fellow A-class drivers.

Serious?

I did check if I can bring own Motul engine oil (specifically certified for Mercedes-Benz use) and there's no issue to do so leh.

First time heard can bring own parts for servicing. Which service centre?

Yes, do share details of which centre allowed you to BYO and whether they deducted the cost of the items off the total bill.

IMO, I dislike the costs, but we need to go into Merc with our eyes wide open, so we avoid the bill shocker later on.. or plan B, visit one of the Merc workshops once your credits run out... cheers

Yup. After i made payment, I did checked with the service advisors if we are able to use other brands of engine oil cause I really feel Shell Helix is really so-so. Preferred Motul though. The sales advisor said no. Reason being they can earn from the Shell EO. This was at Pandan Service Centre.

On the other hand, they also have Mobil One EO, but it will be more exp than Shell. FYI.

I have been doing UOA in the past and Shell Helix Ultra is not really a W40 oil (very low end of the spec) and break down starts before 15,000km for sure.

MobilOne is not much better.

For the kind of price, might as well use better EO. Note: There is a $50 disposal of UO charge if BYOO and may void warranty of engine (hence I specifically stated bringing Motul EO certified for Mercedes-Benz Specs).

Did a service B recently. Remember to opt out of cabin air filter change. It's easy to DIY and is much cheaper.

Ya you should be able to opt for MobilOne because that's what they use for the AMG engines i think?

Yup. Can opt for Mobil 1 at cnc which cost slightly now. Tested before and feel the same as the shell ultra.
