GLA180 Mod?

Hi nicdam,

Regardless of model, Mod ecu = 101% warranty void. Well known not in SG only but globally.

Those who say reflash back factory setting, C&C cannot detect... i tell u "wait long long" bcoz MB have "ECCM" installed.

U research enough and u will find out what MB uses, fool proof as of 2016.

Best to go for PnP or wait till warranty expire than mod the ecu (custom tune).

There's a saying - Wanna Mod dont scare, wanna scare dont mod... i say screw that saying as it is as good as Penny Wise Pound Foolish.

Wise man will say mod wisely to keep warranty, when warranty ends mod all u want.

I've modded by ECU. sending in for my 30k servicing soon. so let's see if it can be detected.  as for the gains, it's rlly substantial. so far about 31% increase from paper. so definitely worth it.

I'm pretty sure C&C will be able to detect it.

It is 101% C&C can detect, it is a matter of whether they want to let u know that they know.

Once the need to claim warranty on parts related or "linked" to the engine... out comes the prove that ecu was modded and claim can be denied.

It is same same in Europe with regard to detecting "tempering of ecu".

Void the warranty is still not as bad as void insurance claim.

Both are the same. You'll always say it's not necessary till the very day you need it.
