I heard SBC brake has lifetime warranty from Mercedes Benz.

some say 10 years

since your is 07. probably to bring back to C and C and get it check

before you make any decision to either scrap or fix it

07 Cls is using the same version of W211 SBC, which is lifetime warranty by Mercedes Benz, so go to CNC, they have to replace them.

My previous ride W211 05 ' model , SBC spoilt 3 yrs ago no more warranty and service outside workshop. Brought back to CnC and they replace it. Charge around $600 plus for labour and oil.

Cnc told me, there is a lifespan for sbc, if lifespan over, they will replace. But if it spoiled before the lifespan, no.
