Rear Camera Lane Assist - Any 3rd Party Retro-fits available?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm new here. Just got the E250 and was surprised the rear camera did not even come with lane parking assist (those yellow lines that shows you the projected path of your turn). I actually did not even ask as I thought it would be a standard feature. But I was wrong - sigh, so naive!

So I want to retro fit such a system....Is there any 3rd party shops that does this? Or must I go back to Mercedes?

I'm new to Mercedes so I'm admittedly a little ignorant. Thanks for anybody who can help me.

C and C gave us the aftermarket reverse camera/ GPS

hence is not the original reverse camera from Mercedes that has the guidance line

if you wish to add the line you probably need to retrofit a better reverse camera system/ or the original one

side sponsors like elebest would be your best bet

Bro .. I had similar from C&C.

I enquired why no lines (never mind if it is static) .. my SE helped me to set it up w just a few buttons.

Just ticking of a box to "show" lines that's all ...

I have been trying to switch/show the lines, but can't seem to find it. Suspect it is because the camera system was retrofitted by C&C instead of it being factory fitted. The manual shows the lines and does not talk about switching it on or off! lol

I think the entry models of from CnC are local retrofitted thus no guiding lines.

Check with your SE and I think they will know better

My SE told me my C180 W204 is local retrofitted thus no guiding lines.

Elebest does offer a local retrofit you may check with them

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

I got my lines switched on! Popped in to see my SE who showed me: engage reverse gear, hold the "c" button top right of scroll wheel until the menu appears, go to display and switch on the lines. Hope this helps!

Thank you bro.. managed to got it set up.. found out that you have to widen the "space" and shift the "horizon" to calibrate it... Also, it does not "turn" when the steering wheel turn..

But its better than nth.  :D

Just collected FL B class. Tried this method to get the lines but no menu appear. Scroll wheel only hv return sign on left and star on right. Called SE and he told me locally installed reverse cam so no lines.
