We then celebrated our Anniversary on National Day itself with our Friends and Customers who took time off and drop by to celebrate our joy.

B'Shine Grooming is honored and proud to host,

Mr. Eric McLeod from SONAX Germany for Sonax Valeting Workshop 2014.

 

The never-ending research and development of SONAX that constantly improves their product portfolio leads to the latest low-dust technology formula of their polishing products. Introducing, the SONAX Cutmax 06-03 and SONAX Ex 04-06 - a water base polish that leaves minimal processing traces, effectively no polish residue, finish is fabulously good and absolutely perfect on harder paints.

 

These 2 products were put on test when Mr. Eric McLeod, SONAX Technical Engineer came to Singapore for a Valeting Workshop and Training. Everyone took part in the training work together, take turns on polishing and voilà!, the result was impressive and satisfying.

 

Truly, another excellent product performance from SONAX.

We are also excited to announce that slots for our Pre Chinese New Year Grooming are now officially open for everyone.

 

Friends and Regulars that have already confirm your appointments from our prior communications, We look forward to seeing you soon!

Those that have not confirm a date, we urge you to please do so asap.

 

To maintain our service level and workmanship, we will be limiting our Paint Protection Services to a Maximum of only 2 cars a day.

Thus Slots are will be limited.

 

We will be operating all the way till the 18th of Feb 1500hrs.

We are also reserving 16, 17, 18 Feb to be doing only Car Spa / Wash and Wax Sessions for our customers only. No Polishing/Paint Correction Service will be available during these dates so that we will be able to serve more people during this time, ensuring everyone have a Bright, Shiny and Clean Cars to welcome Chinese New Year.

As the year draw to a end, usually Car Grooming/Detailing Centres are getting busier as their regulars and also new customers starts making prior appointments to groom their car for the festive season.

 

Do make a mental note to contact your preferred Grooming/Detailing Centre to make a early appointment to avoid disappointment when the date draws nearer.

 

As a good detailing job is time consuming and laborious to ensure a good job, any reputable and responsible business will not try to take in more cars they can manage.

4th to 6th of Feb is reserved for Car Spa / Wash and Wax Sessions for our existing customers and members only. Hello Everyone,

 

Its been a while since we have last updated our forum page since Jan 2016.

 

Along this time, Many things have kept us occupied and busy with things happening at B'Shine Grooming at a Operational, Commercial and also Personal level.

 

We have since taken the chance during a break when David was on reservist and myself going overseas to actually close and have a small renovation to make the humble workshop of ours more efficient.

Upgrades were made to our lighting system, ventilation(a much needed one due to the hot weather nowadays) and also spacial adjustment to improve efficency and also our working ambience.

All this while we sought to constantly improve and upgrade ourselves and services thru Products, Tools, System and Technology.

 

We were glad to be the first in SG to actually get our hands on the all new

Rupes Big Foot LHR 15 / 21 machines.

(Big Shoutout to SONAX SG, the Authorize Distributor of Rupes for letting us have this privilege)

 

If you have been following Auto Detailing news, this Brand has pretty much taken the industy by storm. 

 

However, having been using a Rotary since the very beginning, we still feel most comfortable doing correction using 1. Our Flex Rotaries are still very much our go to tools for correction.

 

This Rupes system its a good addition to have at our disposal and arsenal of tools and solutions and also achieving a stunning finish on soft paint works that we sometimes have to work with.

SONAX HQ from Germany flown in their 2 top Chemist, Mr Tobias and Mr Werner to conduct a new product test for their Japanese counterpart, KeePer Pro Shop.

KeePer, Represented by Mr Nakamura and Mr Masuda, who also flown in to SG specially for this test session.

Our sunny island has been selected for it's climate and harsh condition we face.

 

"If it works in SG, it will definitely work in Japan."

 

At B'Shine Grooming, we are humble and proud to have the opportunity to host and engage in the latest detailing methods and products and keep ourselves abreast of all development thru thorough testing and not just hearsay.

We will like to apologise that B'Shine Grooming will no longer be operating on Sundays.

As We have became Fathers in 2016, we will like to be able to spend more time with our family.

 

Having worked all days for 3 years making ends meet in the beginning and establishing ourselves in this competitive industry. 

We are glad to have the support and trust of my many regular customers and friends that have carried us and brought us to where we are today.

It had been 4 years since David and myself embarked on providing Car Detailing services back in 2012.

 

What started off as a hobby and interest for us evolved slowly into what B'Shine Grooming is today.

 

Looking back on the journey that David and myself have went thru together, I can't help but reminisce, as today marks our 4th year anniversary. There was no fanfare or party as its yet another busy day in the workshop and I stayed back late to finish up some admin work.

 

Thinking back on our Mobile Grooming service days; when we started doing only friend's cars initially, we progressed to Friends' Friend cars and Friends' Friends' Friend cars to build our portfolio and finally getting customers from the 'Cold' Market.

 

We depended heavily on referrals and also our commitment to deliver a good job each time.

 

I'm sure Mobile Detailiers out there will find some solace and similarities to the constraints and also difficulties when we have no control over the environmental conditions we had to face as a mobile service.

 

- Working in hot and stuffy basement carparks with limited lighting and airflow.

 

- Being told that there is shelter in the customer's landed property but only to discover a small canopy that extend to half the car's length.

 

- Pesky pet dogs that sniffs our butts when we are working.

 

- Fighting for car wash bays during peak periods.

 

- Getting chased off by security guards in Condominiums.

 

- To peeing in bottles because there isn't a toilet available in sight. 

(Good thing we usually bring just plain Water bottles instead of bottles of Chrysanthemum tea or it will be hard to differentiate them apart. Phew!)

 

- Completing a job finally to only find the MOE dudes doing Mosquito Fogging. (-_- ")

 

-To have traveled half the Island to customers' house and ended up with a 'No Show'. :-(

 

We finally took the plunge in 2013 to open up our home at Tradehub21 and never looked back ever since.

 

Bright eyed and optimistic, we entered a highly competitive and labourous industry with no prior business experience nor the required connections.

Our confidence and optimism took a huge beating as things were not as rosy as we thought it would be.

 

With overheads like Rental, Utilities and Start up Products etc to pay and being so new.

 

Business was slow and we were only surviving and slowly growing thru the support of our own friends and new found customers.

 

However, we were not to be beaten down and worked really hard for the initial years. 

 

We stayed open for 7 days a week and its only during Public Holiday when its a rest day for us. Sometimes even working thru PH if there is an appointment to be done.

 

We had our differences and quarrels and we also celebrated many milestones, success and victories together.

 

One of the key factors to that is our lifelong friendship and our business direction never wavered.

 

It kept us going towards a common goal together along the way.

It has been an ongoing learning process and till today, we are still constantly learning and seeking to improve our services and also keeping abreast of new detailing tools, products and technology thru our own testing.

 

To offer our best to our customers with sincerity and honesty, marketing our services and products as it is and no gimmicks, sales pitching, hard selling or misrepresentation.

 

"Under Promise, Over Deliver."

 

Using this ethics model, we probably lost a alot of potential customers to other aggressive competitors with stronger "marketing" and "promises".

 

But we continued on our way.

 

With a little luck, we have since been recognised and engaged by brands like:

- Audi

- BMW Asia

- BMW Munich Autos

- Citroen

- KIA

- Mercedes Benz

- Mini 

- Mitsubishi

 

for their Showroom Launches, Events and also Roadshows etc.

 

Getting our Name and Services out to these Premium Car Brands thru recommendations of the people that we worked with for their events.

 

This has helped build credentials to our Service, Workmanship and know-how which in turn has inspired some confidence in us for our new customers.

 

These events also offered us a break from our routine day-to-day at our Detailing Centre, almost like going 'Outfield' during our NS days.

 

It also gets us involved constantly in the latest proceedings in the Automotive Industry and meeting new friends and contacts.

 

It hasn't been an easy journey but we are glad to have friends and customers that had supported and encouraged us all the way.

 

Always making an effort to refer their friends to us, which is our core avenue to build up our customers base and for us to deliver the result that keeps them coming back to us.

 

We sincerely like to take this chance today, to thank Each and Everyone of you for this incredible journey thus far, and we look forward to many more years of service in future.
