Loud engine noise

Hi, i realise when i start my car this afternoon, the engine was very loud and noisy...like a old merc..

But it gradually soften down after a couple mins. Is that normal merc behaviour to quickly warm up the engine?

Not tat i notice while started the drive, its my wife..

She said why so loud and i get down and listen.. Ya.. A little noisy..normal engine note but a higher vol..

How can new engine got problem? My mileage ia only 700 km..lol

Its normal,  when your engine is cold during start the rpm will maintain higher for awhile before going back to normal level.

Guess so too.. Just read up the manual and it says if catcon is cold, envgine will warm it up and it takes 30 secs.

every morning when I start my car, the noise is so loud, but after a while , all back to normal

Also, the sound proofing is great, when inside the car, the noise is very soft, but when open the door, wah, so bloody loud

Initially though my horn no good as it sound weak when inside the car

asked my son to press the horn while I am outside, wah, si peh loud leh !

haha, just trying to say that Merc sound proofing is very good lor !

when I got the car, bring family out for car ride, never on hifi

wife says she going to fall asleep too quiet !

I notice the sound proofing is good from front dash up to front door. Rear door and boot seems to sneak in some vehicular noise.

Especially heavy vehicles and motorbikes.. And if u tune down ur radio...while stopping at road junction, noise are quite obviousl during daytime..

Perhaps i expect perfection as this is a merc...or my car sound proofing got problem?

mine in the morning do have noise especially the (if not wrong the pulley or belt) but after drive off or in the afternoon no noise
