Xie xie!

So delighted that I replaced the stock headlamps.

Changed the entire look of the car.

Now I have a mean looking, but slow machine lol

Our site sponsor Sonic Racing has the same headlights too. Reatailing around $1800 IIRC. However I believe TS had his done by Ah Boon from AutoSpritze.

Essentially, all copied version from Taiwan are pretty much the same. However, almost all have a decoy wiring/bulb to prevent your car from detecting an error fault. So need some improvisations. And who to go to for the kit depends very much on the skill and knowledge of the installer. I was told some had their bumper damaged whilst installing the headlamp!

And yes there are many similar or almost similar headlamps in ebay, and other online websites, but it is expensive to order a single item. Furthermore, this is not something you can just plug and play. In the end, the cost adds up to what local workshops are charging now. The disadvantage of bringing in your own kit is you can't KPKB if something screwed up. So, for peace of mind, just let the pros do it.

Are these headlamps for right hand drive or left hand drive car?

At night are sign posts on the left side of the road lighted up?

I understand Ah Boon had briefly explained to you! :)

RHD Xenon Headlamp Light pattern on wall \---\---

LHD Xenon Headlamp Light pattern on wall ---/----/

RHD Light pattern will shine bias left and road signs on the left side of the road will be illuminated

LHD Light pattern on RHD roads will not shine road signs on the left of the road regardless how high you adjust the height of your headlamps.

RHD Xenon Left side headlamp will shine high(shine on road signs on left side of the road) but light throw short and right lamp shine low (do not dazzle opp direction vehicles)  but throw far to illuminate the road.

LHD Pattern will be opposite of the RHD Headlamps picture below

Typical RHD Xenon Headlamp light throw pattern short & hight on left headlamp but low and far on right headlamp

This is for LHD and the light throw back is not as far.

Was cautioned by Ah Boon on the shorter throw back.

So for those who frequent Malaysia, this option may not be safe.

But for local drive, my personal view is: suffice!

Kepiting1sg,

Bro that was one hell of excellent explanation on lightings for LH & RH drive cars. I raised this issue of how headlights were installed n calibrated couldn't find here.

For the safety of all drivers we should discourage vendors from bringing in products not suitable or compatible to Our region. In my opinion, it is important that Singapore drivers must appreciate safety vs pretty. I've seen so many cars, including high ones with badly setup n aligned headlights.

Think we all should be considerate to fellow road users.

Merry Christmas.
