Went to changing engine mounting

I just wanna share share this. Went to C&C for check up cos engine very noisy. End up change engine mounting and gear box mounting. Due to below 60,000km, I only paid for gear box mounting at $177.00

Damn smooth ride. One silly mounting can cause so much difference. Is it every 2-3 years must change mounting? Is it expensive to do it outside? My ride is w212.

I also changed mine during my 60k servicing. Engine mounting was covered under the three year warranty. Had to pay for gear box mounting though.

For everyone to take note, engine mounting warranty is 60,000km and not 3 years or 100,000. Mine when checked is 58738km. Heng heng.

Is that so? I wasn't aware! Haha! My car is only two years old. When checking in my car for B+ servicing my regular SA asked me, "I can change engine mount for you, want or not? Covered under warranty." Of course I said okay, it's free!

Yup, was told by CnC. Only need to pay for gearbox mounting which is $177. Gearbox mounting has no warranty coverage.

Hi! I think I need to change my mounts as the vibration on idling is getting bad. I am at 116K mileage. Appreciate any advice on the costs for replacing such mounting and the estimated costs. Been quoted 850 for 3 engine mounts (including labour).

Thanks!

Hi,

I only do Lubrication servicing A so far, can I still claim warranty to change my engine mountings.

How long will the engine mounting job take?

Regards

Hi,

Sorry to bring up such an old thread. Today, I went to C&C in an attempt to get my engine mounting changed. However, the SA insist that my warranty has expired. I'm confused as my mileage is less than 60,000. What can I do to proof to the SA?

My current mileage is only 51,835km and the car is registered Jan 2010.u

Warranty is typically 3 years or 100,000km whichever comes first. Also, you will need to be servicing your car at C&C during this warranty period to ensure that the warranty stands

Your car is more than 3 years old thus there is no more warranty.

think TS must have gotten contradicting inputs, so when he went to C&C, he was confused!

so now we know it's 3yrs/100000km, yes?
