Stop workshops from overcharging Mercs drivers

Hi All Mercs owners,

 

I think many of you may have the same experience of being overcharged by workshops just because they see you drive a merc, and many do not even know they are being over charged.

 

I recently brought my S-W220 to replace my Airmatic and brake systems. Did some comparing and found that we can get a good deal if we tell the workshop that we  know the market price.

 

for example, the best price for  airmatic is $1800 per pair bilstein instead of over $2800 for other workshops, and $4000 by C&C.

 

original brakes pad cum disc can be changed at $1200 for all four

 

Perhaps the forum can compile a list of best prices for common items and service types according to A,B,C, E, S class so that we can collectively push down the prices for all ?

Rem 1st week gt car got some very mild curb rash on my rims. Did not do homework send for repair as my heart very pain. Gt charged 80 bucks. Then recently saw in this forum. 10-30 bucks the most. I was like WTF!!?

Just bought Rotors and Ceramic brake pads from Goldenlink at Ubi. $700 for all four wheels for my E250 Coupe!
