If it is original AMG BKK, I don't see any reason. The C63 body kit spray paint done. However the C63 front grille is damaged . They need to order a new one....if not today will be complete.....super sian now ....

Whatever part you mod, if the warranty claim is traced to it, warranty will not be covered. In this case, yes the warranty for the cars braking system has been void. Doesn't matter if parts are OEM or not. Don't expect C&C or any other company for that matter to cover any component(s) which they did not sell you or installed.

I don't really care too much as my warranty will be up next year when I do my final servicing. The important thing is to get original OEM parts and not some other 3rd part stuff to minimize risk of getting into problem. If really super unlucky and some thing happen to the car due to brake system, I am prepared to accept that. This is the spirit of car mod....want to do .... Ka Ka Lo!...

just to add..i had wanted to change to AMG or Brembo on my 1 year old CLS 350. Check with C & C and I was told that it will void the warranty even if it is AMG. They will not honour the warranty if they trace the damage to the newly installed "better" braking system, regardless if it makes the car safer and better. That's how C&C can be. They will find ways not to honour the warranty as long as it is not fitted out by them. Even if we change the brake pads outside because it is cheaper, it still voids the warranty. They just want to rip owners for whatever it is worth.

Put yourself in their shoes.  How can they be responsible for something they did not install? If your outside mechanic screws up, u mean u can walk into CnC and expect them to resolve the issue FOC? I'm no big fan of CnC but u need to be reasonable too!

Not to defend C&C but how do you expect any company for that matter to honour any product which they did not install or sell? With regards to braking system, there are so many factors that can go wrong. To name a few, the claimed better brakes such as OEM AMG or Brembo might not be from a trusted source, some buy second or third hand BBK. The technician who installed it might not be qualified enough or specialised in dealing with MB. Brake fluid might be contaminated.  Brake bias setup might not be suited for the car. Consumers have rights but sometimes, we need to look at it from another direction and not be so self centred.

 

Ask yourself, if you own a company and sold products, would you still honour warranty claims if the product is third party modified by the customer after purchase?

That is why so many products come with seals that say "Warranty Void if Seal Broken".

as for the warranty issue....there's no issue!! change brakes, void brakes warranty. change what, void what (and parts which might be affected by part changed). pretty standard...if you can find an AD without such rules (there will be)....buy their car then.

Should be last Thursday but the Front grille is damaged and they need to order a new one......so installation tomorrow but use a temporary grille first.....not sure what grille they will use and it might make the whole car looks ugly....in any case will not pose any pics till the car is complete....also installing the AMG illuminated sill and the pointed star as well......and new carbon fibre number plate....
